Which presidential candidate is rumored to have had a hand (or something else) in ending the first marriage of one of his own party’s most revered public voices? Aforementioned candidate (then merely a senator) had reportedly been caught in flagrante delicto with the young bride, who had become an aide in his office in her early twenties.
This rumor has been going around in DC for six months or so, but has been gaining momentum lately. More than one “MSM” outlet is currently working to confirm the details. But maybe they’ll wait for the National Enquirer to break it first…..

Well, i’m completely stumped. More hints please. Ya know, one of the presidential candidates went for 5 1/2 years without a single aide, or an office. There was no flagrante or delicto to be had anywhere during those years.
What about Sarah Palin’s apparent affairs? I’m reading The Examiner in the Safeway and I don’t know what to think. If she hasn’t had a legit affair, I’ll offer to mate with her just to create the appearance of a scandal.
I can’t imagine this applies to only one situation, given the hedonistic nature of our Holy Representative Democracy. However, this seems to be specific…
I’m definitely going with McCain for the candidate, since of the two candidates he’s the only one who definitely had at least one affair that we know of. Also, I’ve seen Michelle Obama and I would not cheat on her. She looks formidable even without a weapon. Give her a kitchen knife and I would hightail it… so I think that takes Obama off the hook for ever cheating.
It’s the anonymous wife and husband I’m having trouble with. I have no idea, so McCain and one of Giulianni’s wives. I’m sure that’s wrong, but what the hell.
If you assume the tense used excludes the two nominees who are still Senators and other candidates who remain in office, here are some options:
